Dr. P. Sivakumar

Dr.  P. Sivakumar is presently working as Assistant Professor, (Biotechnology) at Agricultural College and Research Institute, TNAU, Eachangkottai, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India.  He has completed his graduation from Faculty of Agriculture, Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu. He has completed his M.Sc (Ag.) in Plant Breeding and Genetics and Ph.D in Biotechnology from Tamil Nada Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. He did his Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (2008-2010) from Department of Genetic and Molecular Biology, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has more than 20 years research  experience and 10 years teaching experience for teaching both undergraduate and Postgraduate students in Agriculture,  Horticulture Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. He has been published more than 25-research papers and review articles in reputed national and international journals. He edited seven books for the benefits of undergraduate and postgraduate students of agriculture and horticultural sciences. He has received several awards for their contribution in grain legumes research and Rice biotechnology. He also published about 70 popular articles in Tamil and English in monthly science magazines. He has served as a reviewer/editor and or Associate editor for more than 10 scientific journals from national and international level.
