 ABSTRACT

The present study was carried out during 2012 rabi season at Research Farm, J.N.K.V.V. College of Agriculture, Tikamgarh, (M.P.), India with 10 treatment combinations (V1I1. V1I2, V1I3, V1I4, V1I5, V2I1, V2I2, V2I3, V2I4, V2I5, wheres V1- Pusa Jwala,  V2- Garima -12 and INM facors, I1- recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF) or Control (100:50:50 kg NPK ha-1), I2- RDF + FYM (10 t ha-1),  I3 – RDF + Vermicompost (2.5 t ha-1),  I4 – RDF + Vesicular arbuscular mycorrhiza (VAM) @ 2 kg ha-1, I5 – RDF + Azospirillum  in factorial randomize block design with 3 replications. At 90 DAT application of RDF + Vermicompost 2.5 tonnes ha-1 showed significant increase in plant height (71.6 cm), number of branches plant-1 (24.7), minimum days taken to 1st flowering as well as 50% flowering (25.7 and 31.7 DAT, respectively), number of fruits plant-1 (112.8), maximum fruit length (10.8 cm), fruit girth (2.38 cm), fruit yield plant-1 (271.5 g) and fresh fruit yield of 6816 kg ha-1. Significantly the lowest growth, yield attributes and fruit yield of chilli was noticed in recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF) or Control (100:50:50 kg NPK ha-1).

Key words: FYM, Vermicompost, VAM, Azospirillum, Chilli.
