ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted at the Instructional cum Research Farm of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (C.G.) in Rabi season of 2014 to study the Nutrient status for growing sweet corn under use of judicious agro inputs in Vertisols of Eastern India. Different agro input management practices had significant effect on available nutrient status, nutrient uptake and protein yield of sweet corn. The highest nutrient uptake nitrogen N (138.30 kg ha-1), phosphorus P (73.74 kg ha-1) and potassium K (264.42 kg ha-1) by grain and stover were observed under treatment RDF + 10 t FYM ha-1 (T2). Similarly, after harvest the maximum available N (234.15 kg ha-1), P (22.40 kg ha-1) and K (424.48 kg ha-1) was observed under treatment RDF + 10 t FYM ha-1 (T2). Significantly higher protein content (7.55%) and highest protein yield (264.10 kg ha-1) were observed with RDF + 10 t FYM ha-1 (T2) over rest of the treatments.
