Effect of GA₃ and KNO₃ on seedling establishment of Luffa acutangula (L.) Roxb.

ABSTRACT

Luffa acutangula (L.) Roxb. var. amara. Clark (Family: Cucurbitaceae) is a commonly useful
vegetable which is rich in nutrients. The main investigation of this study is to find out the absolute
chemicals which break their dormancy. It was found that 2% KNO₃ is most effective than all other
concentration of chemical, GA₃ is also a germination enhancing hormone.
