ABSTRACT
Ethnobotanic studies on medicinal plants were been undertaken in the relict forest of Djoumouna, in
the south-east and in 24 km from Brazzaville. For every listed botanical species, are noted the used
organ, the mode of preparation of medicinal recipe, the mode of administration as well as the
treated pathology.168 species, distributed in 125 genera and 70 families have been inventoried. The
families of Euphorbiaceae, Rubiaceae and Fabaceae are the most dominant. The leaves (44.5%) and
the trunk bark (24%), are the most used drugs; while the decoction (46.5 %) and oral route (58%)
remains the modes of preparation and administration paramount.
